Winning for the fourth-straight event and the 10th overall time of the 2021 campaign, Nick Hoffman outran rain and a talented field of racers to win Tuesday night’s $1,500 top prize at Tri-City Speedway (Pontoon Beach, Ill.). Twenty-three Modifieds entered the program under threatening skies. Nick set fast time in his group, and then proceeded to win his heat race to earn the second-starting spot for the 30-lap feature.

The main event found him quickly racing to the lead and ultimately the win with Will Krup, Mike McKinney, Tyler Nicely, and Lucas Lee rounding out the Top-5 finishers.

Wednesday night found action shifting to Indiana’s Terre Haute Action Track, where Nick blazed to a 22.252-second lap around the 1/2-mile oval, which positioned him atop the leader board over the 23 Modified entries. After winning his heat race, Hoffman raced to his second win in as many night and his 11th of the 2021 season. Will Krup, Derek Groomer, Kenny Wallace, and Tyler Weiss followed him across the finish line.

Thursday night’s scheduled action at Terre Haute Action Track fell victim to Mother Nature as did Friday’s planned racing at Illinois’ Farmer City Raceway and Saturday’s action at Brownstown Speedway.

As a result, Nick decided to trek to Illinois’ Fayette County Speedway on Saturday night to race with the Summit American Modified Series (AMS). Thirty-two entries were on hand, and Nick qualified fastest in his group before racing to a heat race win to earn the pole position for the feature. The night’s $1,500-to-win feature found Nick recording a runner-up finish behind Mike Harrison with Brian Shaw, Josh Harris, and Kenny Shaw completing the Top 5.

On Sunday night Nick returned to Super Late Model action at the legendary Eldora Speedway in the annual Johnny Appleseed Classic. Competing in the Hatcher Motorsports entry, Nick earned the eighth starting spot for the 30-lap feature. He went on to register a sixth-place finish in the Sunoco American Late Model Series event.

Hoffman’s busy week drew to a close on Monday night with a trip to Lawrenceburg Speedway (Lawrenceburg, Ind.). The night’s feature found Hoffman advancing from the sixth-starting spot to a runner-up finish.
